KBAC MLK Day of Action 2019

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday

“A Day of Action”

On January 21, 2019 in observance of Dr. King’s birthday, Kent Black Action Commission (KBAC) will be joining several organizations from around Washington State for “A Day of Action” and Rally at the State Capital in Olympia, WA to highlight our concerns in the areas of political policy, economic justice, criminal justice, and education. KBAC will provide bus transportation to and from the event. There are approximately 40 seats available on the bus on a first come first serve basis.

  • Seats must be reserved in advance! Deadline to reserve seats is January 16, 2019
  • You can reserve your seat by calling Gwen at 253-486-9029 or RJ at 253-631-7944
  • Bus riders will assemble at Kent-Meridian High School 10020 SE 256th St at 7:30 AM and depart at 8:00 AM
  • Students especially High School Seniors are encouraged to join us, however if you are unaccompanied by a parent you will need a “parent permission slip” to board the bus.
  • The bus will leave on time so be prompt!
  • On the return the bus will depart Olympia at 3:00 PM arriving back at Kent-Meridian at approximately 4:00 PM.
  • KBAC will provide a light fare for breakfast on the trip down and a light lunch in Olympia (if you have specific dietary needs or desires please feel free to bring your own lunch and or snacks)
